The Stump Table is a reminder of the flaws found in nature and the medium with which we work. Rot, cracks, splits, and weathering are all evident in this piece and were intended to be left to enhance the beauty of the finished work. We worked guardedly with each of these natural blemishes so as to enhance their beauty, rather than remove it.
