Drawing inspiration from the beautiful landscape that surrounds me, literally minutes from my shop in Campbell River BC, this river glass triptych has a heavy coastal influence. A continuation of my Shores collection and the blue river glass series I have been experimenting with, this set is my largest wall art piece to date. Watching the sand be slowly taken over by the incoming tide as it meanders over the sandy shores is the source of inspiration for this triptych. The highs and lows of the shoreline shape the path the water takes as it slowly wanders the landscape finding the path of least resistance. The continuous flowing lines from one piece through the next is meant to evoke a calmness and tranquility that is often associated with the sights and sounds of flowing water.
